This Privacy Policy explains what information DraftHQ ("we", "us"), operated by DraftHQ, collects when you use https://drafthq.live and the related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to describe only what the Service actually does.

1. The short version

  • We collect what you give us to run your league and draft: your email, a display name, and the leagues, teams, picks, schedules and strategy you create.
  • We do not run advertising, analytics or tracking scripts on the Service.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • Your War Room strategy is private to you; commissioners and other members cannot see it.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and personal data through Support.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and basic profile information Google shares for sign-in; we do not receive your Google password. We store a user identifier, email and display name in a profile record.

League and draft information. To run your league we store the leagues you create or join, your role in each (member, co-commissioner or commissioner), team names and any team logo you upload, invitations you send or accept, draft configuration (roster, scoring, draft type, timers, keepers, draft order), every pick, draft results, awards and recaps, and league record-book history.

Scheduling and draft night. If your commissioner runs a scheduling poll we store the dates and time windows you mark as preferred, limited or unavailable and when you submitted them. On draft night we store your RSVP, check-in status and acknowledgement of league rules.

War Room. If you use the War Room we store your personal player rankings, tiers, notes, queue order, Target / Watch / Avoid marks and any injury-concern flags. These are keyed to your account, league and season.

Mock drafts. When you run a mock draft we store the mock setup, every pick, results, and — for League Mocks — the league it was practiced for. Availability Intelligence is calculated only from your own completed mocks.

Preferences. We store your draft alert preferences (for example, sound and vibration settings) with your account.

Technical information. Our hosting and backend providers automatically record the kind of information any web service receives — IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps — in server logs for security and reliability. We do not add our own analytics on top of this.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details (the Service has no in-app payments today), precise location, contacts, or content from your device beyond the images you choose to upload. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and secure your account and sign you in;
  • run your leagues, drafts, scheduling polls, mock drafts and War Room, and show them to the people entitled to see them;
  • send account-related email such as sign-up confirmation (see section 8);
  • keep the Service reliable and secure, prevent abuse, and debug problems;
  • respond to support requests;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling for marketing, or automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Who can see what inside the Service

Visibility within the Service is governed by your league membership and role, enforced on the server:

  • League members can see the league's name, teams, member display names, draft configuration, draft order, picks, results, recaps, awards, records, scheduling aggregates and draft-night status. Members can also see who has and has not responded to a scheduling poll.
  • Commissioners and co-commissioners can additionally see member email addresses for the members of their league, invitation status, and per-member availability answers so they can pick a date.
  • Your War Room (rankings, tiers, notes, queue, Target / Watch / Avoid, concern flags) and your mock draft history are visible only to you. No commissioner or member can view them.
  • The Live Board is a display view intended for a screen in the room. It is opened with a display link that acts like a key: anyone holding that link can view that draft's board (team names, logos, picks and the timer) while the link is valid. Treat display links like invitation links and do not post them publicly.
  • Invitation links let the recipient join a league or claim a specific team. Before an invitation is redeemed, the page shows only generic information.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers. We share information only:

  • with service providers who host and operate the Service on our behalf — our application hosting, database, authentication and file-storage infrastructure — under agreements that restrict their use of your data to providing those services;
  • with Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, to complete sign-in;
  • with the other members of your league, as described in section 5;
  • when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, safety or property of users, the public or the Service;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of the Service, in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure this Policy continues to apply.

7. Third-party data we bring into the Service

The player pool, positions, NFL teams, bye weeks and injury designations shown in the Service come from public NFL player data published by Sleeper. Average draft position (ADP) data comes from Fantasy Football Calculator. The Service may also load consensus rankings from additional providers such as FantasyPros when we have enabled them. These are inbound data feeds fetched by our servers: no information about you is sent to these providers to retrieve them.

The Service does not currently connect to your Sleeper, Yahoo or ESPN account. Code to support optional connections exists but is switched off. If we enable such a connection in the future it will be opt-in, we will update this Policy first, and connecting will not be required to use the Service.

Web fonts on the public site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives the technical information any web request carries, such as your IP address.

8. Email we send

We send transactional email tied to your account — for example, confirming your email address when you sign up. We do not send marketing newsletters. The Service does not currently send draft reminders, scheduling reminders or password-reset email; if we add these we will update this Policy. Invitations to a league are shared by the commissioner as links; the Service does not email them on the commissioner's behalf.

9. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies and do not use cookies to track you across other sites. The Service uses your browser's storage only to make the product work:

  • Sign-in session. Your authentication session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits. It is removed when you sign out.
  • Return-to-page. During sign-in or invitation acceptance the page you were headed to is remembered temporarily in local storage so we can send you back there afterwards.
  • Live Board display settings. Presentation choices for a specific draft's Live Board (such as announcement and reveal options) are kept in local storage on the device showing the board.
  • Layout preference. A first-party cookie may remember whether a collapsible side panel is open or closed. It contains no personal information.

Because these are strictly necessary for the Service to function, there is no consent banner. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

10. How long we keep information

Account and profile information is kept for as long as your account exists.

League, draft, scheduling and draft-night history is kept for as long as the league exists, because it is the league's shared record. When the primary commissioner deletes a league, the league's drafts, picks, keepers, draft order, awards, check-ins, rules, RSVPs, scheduling polls and responses, teams, memberships, invitations and league-scoped War Rooms are permanently deleted in a single operation. Deleting a draft removes that draft's picks and related draft records; scheduling history for the league is kept.

Mock drafts belong to you, not the league. A League Mock survives deletion of its league as part of your personal mock history, relabelled with the deleted league's name and no longer linked to any league. You can delete any mock draft yourself at any time; deleted mocks are removed and no longer count toward Availability Intelligence.

Team logos are stored as files. A logo that is replaced or whose team is deleted may remain in storage until routine cleanup.

Server logs kept by our infrastructure providers are retained for their standard, limited periods for security and reliability.

Backups made for disaster recovery may hold deleted information for a limited period before they expire.

11. Your choices and rights

Access and update. You can view and update your display name in Account settings, and rename your own team in a league.

Delete content. You can delete your own mock drafts and clear your War Room entries. Commissioners can delete drafts and leagues they administer.

Delete your account. The Service does not yet offer a self-service account-deletion button. To delete your account and the personal information tied to it, use the Support page at https://drafthq.live/support from the email address on the account and we will action the request. Note that picks, team names and other records inside a league's shared draft history are part of that league's record and may be retained in de-identified form (for example, showing the team rather than you) after your account is removed.

Export. You can export draft results as CSV from the results page. For other data, use the Support page at https://drafthq.live/support.

Depending on where you live you may have additional legal rights — for example, to access, correct, port, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We honour such requests in accordance with applicable law.

We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not respond differently to Global Privacy Control signals because there is nothing to opt out of.

12. Security

We protect information with access controls enforced in the database for every table (so each request can only reach the rows its user is entitled to), authenticated server-side operations for every draft action, encryption in transit, and private storage for uploaded team logos served through the Service. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please use a strong, unique password.

13. Where information is processed

The Service is operated from, and its infrastructure providers store data in, the United States and other countries where those providers operate. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in those locations under this Policy and applicable law.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes — for example, enabling a third-party account connection or adding analytics — we will update this Policy before the change takes effect and take reasonable steps to let you know.

15. Contact

To ask a privacy question, exercise a right, or request deletion, use the Support page at https://drafthq.live/support.

A dedicated privacy contact mailbox has not yet been designated by the product owner. This section will be updated when it is.
